Weekend Dream Team is a new game every weekend. You can enter Weekend Dream Team right up to the scheduled kick-off time of the first eligible match played on Saturday (usually the lunchtime game), at which point, entry for the following week's game will become available.
Yes. You can enter as many teams as you wish in any Weekend Dream Team game. Weekend Dream Team promotes responsible gambling so please play within your personal budget.
No. Only the next weekend will be available on the Weekend Dream Team site but you can use our 'Future Weeks' facility to have teams automatically picked for you in up to the next 4 weeks games.
All Premiership and FA Cup matches played on a Saturday and Sunday in any game weekend are included. There must be a minimum of five eligible matches for a Weekend Dream Team game to take place. During International breaks, a special International game will be played.
Your initial team will be a random selection from the Weekend Dream Team player pool. Your team will include a Goalkeeper, 4 Defenders, 3 Midfielders and 3 Strikers, with no more than two players from any one Premiership club.
Your five substitutes will be a random selection from the Weekend Dream Team player pool and will include 1 Goalkeeper, 1 Defender, 1 Midfielder, 1 Striker and an additional outfield player. The additional outfield player will be either a Defender, Midfielder or Striker selected on a random basis.
The Weekend Dream Team player pool will include 100 players. The player pool for any weekend will include only the top scoring players with eligible games from the Sun’s Dream Team game, as they are between 8 days prior to any weekend’s game.
The player pool is updated every week and because only the next weekend is available to play, all players known to be injured or suspended 8 days prior to a game weekend will be excluded from the player pool.
No. There is no budget included in Weekend Dream Team but you are guaranteed a top class team!
You have to use your skill and judgement in making your substitutions but you can get some help by clicking on the Player Stats button which appears beneath the team selection. Information includes the player’s points tally and average points per game in the Sun’s Dream Team game. It shows the number of games since the player was in his team’s starting line-up and also the player’s team’s fixture for that weekend. These stats are correct as of Friday, prior to the new game week opening. If you don't want to make your own substitution decisions, just hit the 'Optimise' button and Ron will automatically put the highest ranked players in each position from your squad, into your final XI.
You can use any or all of your 5 substitutes to finalise your team. Up to the point that you confirm your final 11, you can change your substitutions as many times as you like. Once you have confirmed your team, you cannot make any further substitutions.
You need to use your skill and judgement, and you may find using the Player Stats helpful. Once you have finalised your team you should consider which player to make your Star Man, who will score double points for you. You can change your Star Man as many times as you want, up to the point that you confirm your team, after which there can be no further changes.
If you click the back button on your browser or exit the site after you have selected the weekend that you wish to play, you will already have been allocated a team and you will have been deducted one credit (£1) from your credit account. When you next enter the game site, you should click on View My Teams and you will be able to view your incomplete team and complete the selection. You cannot enter any new teams while you have an incomplete team and incomplete teams are not entered into the game. Payment for incomplete teams will be forfeited.

By coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd on the leaderboard! You will do this if your team has scored the highest, 2nd highest or 3rd highest number of points following the completion of the final game included in Weekend Dream Team, which will usually be the 4pm Sunday kick-off. Prize allocation may vary on some weekends but this will be clearly indicated on the game site at the time of entry. The final leaderboard will be posted on the Weekend Dream Team website by noon on Monday.

The awarding of the weekly prizes will take place within one week of the last match included in that weekends game. Prize payments will be made by cheque in the name of the registered entrant only and in the event that the winning entry is part of a Syndicate, the prize will be made by cheque in the name of the entrant of the winning team only.
